Justin Green

Justin Green is one of the most experienced, respected and well-connected communication experts and thought-leaders globally and throughout Ireland within his field.

Justin has been a much sought-after communications practitioner for upwards of twenty-five years, during which time he has acquired unrivalled contacts and practical experience in all areas of the industry.

In December 2016, Justin was appointed a Life Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, being the highest honour which the Institute can award to any member.

Justin also conceived, wrote and co-ordinated the groundbreaking document: 'Let's Celebrate 2017 The Cultural and Economic Contribution of Live Entertainment Events in Ireland' (www.letscelebrate.ie).


In June 2017 Justin was Elected to Board of Global Alliance. The incoming board includes leading practitioners, academics and industry association leaders, with representation from every continent.This is the first time a PRII member will have served on the GA board.

Justin has worked with leading global brands (such as Coca Cola, Guinness, Vodafone, Mars/Nestle, MTV, Pepsi and Heineken) and global superstars (such as Madonna, U2, Jay Z, Rihanna, Beyoncé, One Direction, Neil Diamond and REM) to name but a few.

A small example of shows Justin has worked on are: Oxegen, Electric Picnic, Longitude, Witnness, MTV (Europe) Music Awards, Riverdance, Special Olympics Summer Games, and tours featuring global superstars such as Coldplay, Oasis, Prince, Fleetwood Mac and David Bowie.

Additional to commercial engagements Justin has also been involved with non-profit organisations such as Childline/ISPCC, Chernobyl Children’s Project, Amnesty International, the Crisis Pregnancy Agency, Drinkaware, the Road Safety Authority.

Tony O' Brien

Tony has over 35 years’ experience across Political, Business and  Environmental sectors and the media. He is a former award-winning special correspondent with Independent News & Media.

After 25 years in local and national media, Tony joined one of Ireland’s leading Public Relations agencies, Fleishman-Hillard Saunders where he worked with clients such as SuperValu and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland.

As a Senior Communications Consultant, he has since worked with and advised leading companies and agencies such as Ticketmaster, Argos, NCPS, EirGrid, Wicklow and Wexford County Councils, the Department of Transport, Bricks 4 Kidz and Ordnance Survey Ireland.

Tony is expert on preparing Communications Strategies for a broad range of clients and across all media channels where he has extensive contacts.

Grainne Mac Neill

Grainne Mac Neill has been part of the Wide Awake team since August 2013.

She has built up a strong relationship with all our clients that we work with and has become a key part of our team.

Previous to this role she had established a strong background of experience in the Marketing and Events industry. She had previously held the position of Marketing Assistant at MCD Productions and has also been part of successful events such as NYE Festival, St. Patrick’s Festival.

Ciara O'Malley

Ciara achieved a 2:1 Honours Degree in Media & Public Relations and now works on a consultancy basis for Wide Awake Communications. She has worked closely with clients The Gaiety Theatre, New Years Festival, Disney on Ice and Once the Musical, among others, in her role. Her role involves supporting the development of the digital marketing, and social media growth, progressing all elements involved. She has worked on large-scale theatre productions such as John B. Keane's 'The Field', 'The Matchmaker' & 'Big Maggie' and Breaking Dad at The Gaiety Theatre as well as Once the Musical at The Olympia Theatre. She has also worked on Worlds of Enchantment, Magical Ice Festival & Silver Anniversary Celebrations for Disney on Ice and Revolution 1916 in The Ambassador Theatre.
